Banner Finance Goes Live

Concord, NH. July 4, 2007. After successfully upgrading Banner 6 Student to Banner 7, NBH Solutions (www.nbhsolutions.com ) completed the implementation of Banner Finance for the Community College System of New Hampshire (www.CCSNH.edu .) The seven colleges include:

Great Bay Community College (www.greatbay.edu)

Lakes Region Community College (www.lrcc.edu)

Manchester Community College (www.manchestercommunitycollege.edu)

Nashua Community College (www.nashuacc.edu)

NHTI-Concord’s Community College (www.nhti.edu)

River Valley Community College (www.rivervalley.edu)

White Mountains Community College (www.wmcc.edu)

Each college has their own copy of the Banner Student system but wanted a centralized, single system using Banner Finance. This effort was technically challenging as students often attend more than one college and CCSNH did not want students to appear multiple times in Banner Finance. The senior Banner development team at NBH Solutions created custom programs to take data for the seven Banner Student systems and consolidate records into one central Finance system.

Now that CCSNH has replaced it legacy finance application with Banner Finance, NBH Solutions is designing a strategy to replace the use of Quickbooks at the seven colleges. Our goal was to provide CCSNH with a flexible Banner Finance system while giving users a structured system applying the controls and rules required in accrual accounting. To help CCSNH climb the learning curve, NBH solutions provided hands-on training to the CFOs and staff at the seven colleges and the CCSNH system office staff.
