New Hampshire Department
of Education Chooses NBH Solutions
Concord, NH. May 30, 2008.
New Hampshire Department
of Education (www.ed.state.nh.us/education)
contracted with NBH Solutions (www.nbhsolutions.com)
to help the P-16 Working Group
explore strategies and options for combining P-12, higher education, work
force, economic development and demographic data in support of the
evaluation of educational programs at all levels, the measurement of supply
and demand for educational programs and labor pools, and educational and
economic development research. New Hampshire Governor John Lynch appointed
the P-16 Working Group to determine the need and feasibility of developing a
business intelligence system that will combine data from data systems used
across the educational institutions with workforce and other economic data.
To accomplish this goal, a unique
combination of institutional research and information technology expertise
is required. For the P-16 Group to be successful, the services of a
consultant with significant hands-on experience designing reporting,
tracking, data warehouse and business intelligence solutions were required.
NBH Solutions was selected because Richard Middaugh, President, during more
than twenty-five years serving education as an institutional researcher and
technologist, has designed and implemented state-wide systems to document
student success and educational outcomes. These systems employ meaningful
solutions aimed at increasing student access to education, increasing
enrollment, decreasing time to program completion, and facilitating student
transfer between institutions while meeting comprehensive reporting and
accountability requirements. Members of the P-16 Working Group
include:
Lyonel B. Tracy, Commissioner of the N.H.
Department of Education (www.ed.state.nh.us/education/)
