Campus Intelligence Solution
Manchester
and Stratham Community Technical Colleges Benefit from Title III Grant

The Manchester
and Stratham colleges share a cooperative Title III grant aimed at improving
student success. Faced with the challenge of gathering, providing access to,
analyzing and reporting on performance, these colleges asked NBH Solutions
to develop a campus intelligence system measuring progress towards
successful completion of grant activities.
Installed
after four months of design and development, the new Campus Intelligence
System allows Title III staff and institutional researchers to track the
progress of student cohorts and evaluate the effectiveness of grant
activities. After automatically capturing and combining data from separate
administrative systems used by the colleges, the Campus Intelligence System
permits the creation of queries and reports via an easy to use interface.
Iterative inquiry capabilities of the system support informed decision
making through comprehensive analyses of factors affecting student success-
all without the assistance of an information technology staff. Intelligence
systems are widely used in business.
NBH Solutions
has a lead position in the use of this technology within higher education.
In addition to this project, NBH Solutions developed a widely used
intelligence application containing key information on the public colleges
in Massachusetts. This application helps the Board of Higher Education use
institutional performance indicators engender support for legislative and
grant initiatives.
