New Hampshire Community Technical College System Selects NBH Solutions for A
Major IT Facelift
NBH Solutions on target with project goals
Concord, NH-
Feb 2, 2006 Faced with the requirement of upgrading their
student, financial aid and finance software, the New Hampshire Community and
Technical Colleges entertained competitive proposals before selecting NBH
Solutions as their partner. This project requires the upgrade of the student
and financial aid software to the latest release, the replacement of the
legacy finance system, and a complete rebuild of the computing environment
to support the desired change to a new operating system.

Making the Grade
Before
contracting with NBH Solutions, NHCTCS was operating on seven different
databases that were not taking full advantage of all that **SCT Banner, a
product of SunGard Higher Education, has to offer. In addition, SCT Banner
Finance had been purchased, but had never been put in use. Now, six months
into the project, NBH Solutions has equipped the seven colleges in the New
Hampshire system with new servers and storage technology, configuration of
the student and financial aid modules is almost complete, and finance system
implementation is well underway. “Our goal is to improve services to
internal and external users by developing a more efficient and effective
operation. By the end of this project we plan on having all 7 campuses
running on a unified database with each campus utilizing all that SCT Banner
7 has to offer,” states President of NBH Solutions, Richard Middaugh.
NBH
Solutions successfully completed a SCT Banner upgrade for the City College
of San francisco. City College is the largest user of SCT Banner software
with 10 campuses and an annual student head count exceeding 106,000. Since
2000, City College has partnered with NBH Solutions for more than $30
million in technology upgrades.
