ACHIEVEMENTS
Helping higher education organizations meet the needs of constituents
requires an appreciation for consensus building, knowledge of public
decision-making, and a keen awareness that service to the community is the
ultimate, overarching goal and the standard by which our services are
measured. Our Contract history shows that our expertise cuts across normal
silos of knowledge possessed by most consulting firms and includes:
- A successful launch of the ISG Web component (ISG Web, Informz
Marketing/Communications Email, Conference/Exhibitor Management,
E-Commerce Tools, and a Single Sign-on Solution) of the E-Solutions
Project for the
National Association of Financial Aid Administrators.
- Implementing a Campus Intelligence System for the
Community
College System of New Hampshire. This custom system was designed and built to take full
advantage of the robust reporting and analysis capabilities offered by IBM’s COGNOS.
This Campus Intelligence System captures data from the colleges’ seven
separate Banner systems running Oracle for the databases.
-
Working with the New
Hampshire Department of Education to help
the P-16 Working Group explore strategies and options for combining
P-12, higher education, work force, economic development and demographic
data in support of the evaluation of educational programs at all levels,
the measurement of supply and demand for educational programs and labor
pools, and educational and economic development research.
- A successful upgrade to Banner 7 for the City College
of San Francisco means that the largest user of Banner (106,000 students
plus) improved its ability to serve students.
- NBH Solutions led the custom development of
web-enabled education planning software for counselors and students at
City College that leverages the Banner Degree Audit capabilities to
permit the creation of individual learning plans for students.
- Under a contract with Deloitte Consulting, NBH
Solutions designed an Oracle database and web-based application that
allows Massachusetts colleges and universities to remotely submit, run
edits, and view electronic state and Federal reports over a virtual
private network.
- A new data center designed and implemented by NBH
Solutions helped the Massachusetts Office of Student Financial
Assistance upgrade their state financial aid clearinghouse application
that accepts remote data feeds from Banner and other ERP applications to
control, distribute, and audit student aid awards at public institutions
within the Commonwealth.
- An effort to upgrade computer servers, systems,
applications and network switching resulted in the creation of a
converged communications infrastructure for the City College of San
Francisco that supports internet native Banner at ten campuses and
routes all network traffic while simultaneously supporting a new
voice-over-internet protocol telephone system.
- NBH Solutions consulted to design, negotiate
contracts and provide project management for a private fiber optic
network connecting a multi-campus community college.
- Due to its vendor neutral status and proven
experience, NBH Solutions was chosen by the California Foundation for
Community Colleges to explore the development of regional data centers
to reduce operating costs for community colleges and to participate in
the development of a state-wide RFP for administrative systems to meet
the administrative, financial, human resources and payroll and
purchasing needs of the community colleges in California
- NBH Solutions worked with NATN staff and contractors
as well as promoting the use of technology to support student
articulation and transfer. CollegeStepz was developed as website for
students and professional staff to explore options in their education,
including helpful information on individual colleges and universities.
